Oliver Finn

Media and Projects Assistant
BA English Literature

Oliver arrived at MRC in September 2016 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a degree in English Literature. While a student, he sang with the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge and its close-harmony offshoot The King’s Men, which he served as Treasurer for two years.

As Media and Projects Assistant he provides day-to-day assistance to the MRC team, including: liaising with clients, competitors and the media; research; copy writing; proof-reading; and other general administrative tasks. He has recently worked on projects including a private invited competition for the Royal College of Art, the Illuminated River International Design Competition, and a competition for Homerton College, Cambridge.

A relative newcomer to the world of architecture and design, he has particularly enjoyed witnessing the jury process, where fascinating ideas from world-class teams are placed under forensic scrutiny by a selection of experts in their respective fields. More generally, he is interested in questions surrounding urban development, defensive architecture, and the privatisation of public space.
